SINOSURE Hosts 2024 Berne Union Claims & Recoveries Specialist Meeting

　　From June 11 to 14, 2024, SINOSURE successfully hosted the Berne Union Claims & Recoveries Specialist Meeting 2024 in Shenzhen. Xu Xinwei, Vice President of SINOSURE, delivered a speech at the meeting.

　　Claims & Recoveries Specialist Meeting is one of the largest and most important annual events of the Berne Union. After nine years (BU Annual General Meeting 2015 in Shanghai), SINOSURE hosted BU meeting again. Over 130 specialists of claims and recoveries, lawyers, and scholars from nearly 50 member institutions, partner channels, banks, law firms, and universities attended the event. Topics included renewable energy, artificial intelligence, fraud risk prevention, sanctions, sovereign defaults, and discussions on 18 underwritten countries. Experts and scholars were invited to share insights on geopolitics, the legal and business environment in China, and to interpret the terms of claims and recoveries.

　　In his speech, Vice President Xu introduced the successful experiences of Shenzhen's reform and opening-up, highlighting the importance of openness, inclusiveness, and innovation to this city's significant development. He analyzed the current international situation and the characteristics of global trade transformation, emphasizing that promoting the flow of global trade and investment is the mission of the export credit insurance industry, while post-underwriting management, claims, and recoveries are crucial links in the process, which require members to play a role in mitigating loss, as well as to enhance risk management by feeding back experiences to the business front end.
